What is your role at Fullarton Park Dental?
I’m a general dentist.
How long have you been a member of the team?
A little over one year. After working for 20 years, it’s only my second place of employment so it has been a refreshing new start.
What do you most enjoy about your job?
Building rapport with patients and helping them achieve whatever dental goal we’re aiming for.
Do you prefer cooking dinner or going out?
My 8yo daughter informed me that I could burn water, so on that food critic’s review I’ll go with “going out”.
What is your go-to board game?
Definitely chess. It’s safer for family relations than Monopoly and Pictionary.
When you were a child, what did you want to be when you grew up?
An orthodontist, after seeing Dr Fraser Gurling in 1991. I still have written proof of this from a year 4 piece of writing that my mum held onto.
Do you have a pet?
We have 1 cat. Frank the Tank. He’s a black and white farm cat that we got from a barn at Australia Plains. You’ll probably need to Google Map where that is like I did before we picked him up. He’s got A grade catitude and is a bit of a cult hero in our house.
What’s one piece of advice you’ll never forget?
My grandmother always said to “worry when the time comes”. I’m not sure I’m the best at heeding this advice, but it’s a good one to refer back to.
If you could time travel, where would you go, and who would you see?
I’d take a ride to 1969 and sit in Abbey Road studios for a few months and watch the Beatles record their last album of the same name.
Are you a morning person or a night owl?
Night owl.
Do you have a collection?
I used to collect match worn Crows guernseys where I think I had 26 at one point. Over the last couple of years I’ve trimmed it back to a handful and let some other people enjoy them.
