My role at FPD:
I am a dentist at Fullarton Park Dental and along with my husband Michael we own the practice.
How long have I been a member of the team?
I joined the practice four years ago after having some time off for the birth of our daughter.
What do you most enjoy about your job?
I love helping patients to gain confidence in managing to overcome their dental problems, especially those who have struggled with feeling anxious or had a bad experience. There are lots of ways to help people who don’t like coming to the dentist! I also enjoy helping people improve their smiles.
I also love chatting about tricky cases with younger team members and working through these together.
What does an ideal Sunday look like?
A sleep in is always nice, although that’s tricky with a six year old! Maybe breakfast or lunch (and definitely coffee) at our favourite local cafe, and spending the day with my husband and daughter (preferably in the sunshine)- going for a walk, a bike ride, or the beach!
Favourite holiday destination?
Somewhere warm- Noosa is beautiful and a favourite spot.
Special skill or hidden talent?
I’m actually quite good at table tennis. I’m not a state champion or anything but I’ve got a pretty decent backhand and serve!
Instantly become an expert?
Probably technology- definitely quite a bit of room for improvement there.
One thing I’m excited about coming up in 2023?
I’m excited about buying my very first sewing machine. I’m looking forward to learning how to sew (I can sew straight lines currently) but I’d like to know how to repair clothes and make costumes for Sasha!
